“Hush” is a passion project produced by Tinsel Noose LLC. My role was multi-faceted, including acting as Producer, Director of Photography, and Editor. As a Producer I was able to help guide the overall feel and themes of the film as well as contribute to hiring cast and crew, determining set location, and ensuring that the whole production was on-budget and on-time. As the Director of Photography, I worked directly with the crew to produce the necessary lighting and shots to make the story come alive. The ultimate goal of this film was for the sound design and the editing to act as an additional character in the story. So, as an editor, this is especially challenging to portray ominous character traits through the use of quick cuts, rhythm, and audio design. Every cut and creative editing decision was very deliberately designed to put a viewer on edge.
